First of all, it is pretty difficult to stand either for or against the issue because it is impossible to draw a clear line in such a complex problem with so many factors involved.
The issue is actually debated in the Diet in Japan. While many diet members especially of the opposition parties are against it, the government party is now trying to pass and enact the bill related to it.

Almost all things always have pros and cons, both a good and bad side. It depends on what point you consider more important than other elements and on your standpoint toward it.

We can consider now we are transition stage of the problem. It takes time for these controversial issues to be understood well and accepted especially to the generation that cannot be positive about changes.

Because there is no way to deepen the debate if there is a gap of points of argument especially when religious or emotional points are involved, I think the most realistic approach is to continue to promote awareness of the issue among the younger generation and wait for the generation shift.

The situation is completely stagnating, so now that there are few things to lose even if it, unfortunately, doesn’t work. We should bet on that possibility and that hope.

We have to decide priority even though it is not an either-or question or problem.

There are many people who are struggling to make a living due to the widespread non-regular employment with unstable incomes.

There should be no data to verify it yet. As long as there is a possibility of improvement, we should try it once, and if it doesn’t work, we can find another way. It is important to try as many measures as possible.

Firstly, we have to itemize each element of a complex issue with many factors involved, then evaluate each one’s benefits and shortcomings, lastly, decide the priority. It’s impossible to meet all the requirements, so I feel it’s important to look at the balance that way. Sometimes we need to cut off something for the balance.

Let me summarize in the end. … I’m sorry I went overtime a bit.

Without such a huge benefit, people won’t move and the status quo won’t change.

This is also caused by the low level of happiness.

It is also expected that the tax burden per person will increase.

The government claims that the abolishment of mandatory retirement is for elderly people who want to work more. However, they should be aware that many people work because they have no other choice but to do so.

I think the cost will be lower in the long run.

The system of property tax should be changed, and more taxes should be collected from property owners of stocks and land.
For example, when you work hard and earn 100 million yen, 45% of it is collected as tax. On the other hand, in the case that you are a child of asset owners, you earn 100 million yen with stock dividends annually, and constantly. In this case, the tax rate you have to pay is just 20% of the stock income.
This is a clear privilege of the rich and an unfair tax system. The government can increase tax revenue without increasing further burden on the low-income layer by rising property tax towards the rich.

It distracts people from the real problems that should be solved preferentially and causes them to delay their resolution.

We need to make an effort to minimize the damage to protect the environment as much as possible and avoid self-destruction.
