英検1級英作文：途上国への技術移管
2021年第1回の英検1級受験時に、英作文・面接対策として自分が書き溜めた原稿を公開しています。
Grammarlyに頼りつつ書いたもので、完全に独学で勉強していたため、不自然な表現や文法的に間違った英文が含まれている可能性もありますので、ご注意ご了承ください。
実績としては、本番は英作文・面接どちらもこのブログで公開している原稿から、使える部分を流用したような格好で解答を行いました。
得点もそれぞれ英作文が745/850で9割近い点数が獲れ, 面接は615/850と合格ギリギリの水準ですが、2分スピーチセクションであまりの緊張から10秒近く言葉が出てこなかった所から原稿の内容を駆使した決死の、華麗なる逆転劇があってのものですので、内容としてはまあ悪くない水準にあると思います。

Is the technological transfer from developed countries to developing countries the key to the economic development of the latter?

With rapid industrialization and economic growth in developed countries, many companies have had their factories in developing countries and transferred their technological bases there. In this circumstance, I think that the technology transfer to developing countries will greatly help the economic development of their nations for the following three reasons.
Firstly, the technology transfer creates new job opportunities in developing countries. For example, manufacturing industries need a number of workforces not only for manufacturing products but also for managing factories and workers and delivering products. The technology transfer will bring many and stable employments.
Secondly, the technology transfer will stimulate technological development and innovation. It will provide developing countries with state-of-the-art technology and information in various fields, which helps technological innovation of the country.
Finally, the technology transfer will enhance the social stability of developing countries. Increased job opportunities that I mentioned improve the salary level of the country and decrease people who are suffering from poverty. Alleviating problems of poverty will lead to social stability, which will help the development of the country.
In conclusion, for these three factors, an increase in employment, an influx of developed technology, and social stability will be brought by the technology transfer and help the economic developments of developing countries.
先進国の急速な工業化と経済成長に伴い、多くの企業が発展途上国に工場を構え、技術基盤を移転しています。このような状況の中で、途上国への技術移転は、以下の3つの理由から、途上国の経済発展に大きく貢献すると考えています。
第一に、技術移転によって途上国に新たな雇用機会が生まれること。例えば、製造業では、製品の製造だけでなく、工場や従業員の管理、製品の納入など、多くの労働力が必要となります。技術移転は、多くの安定した雇用をもたらします。
第二に、技術移転は技術開発とイノベーションを刺激する。技術移転は、発展途上国に様々な分野の最先端の技術や情報を提供し、その国の技術革新を助けます。
最後に、技術移転は発展途上国の社会的安定性を高めます。先に述べた就業機会の増加は、その国の給与水準を向上させ、貧困に苦しむ人々を減少させます。貧困の問題が緩和されれば、社会の安定につながり、国の発展にもつながります。
結論として、これらの3つの要素、すなわち、雇用の増加、先進技術の流入、社会的安定は、技術移転によってもたらされ、発展途上国の経済発展を助けることになります。
