英検1級英作文：同性婚
2021年第1回の英検1級受験時に、英作文・面接対策として自分が書き溜めた原稿を公開しています。
Grammarlyに頼りつつ書いたもので、完全に独学で勉強していたため、不自然な表現や文法的に間違った英文が含まれている可能性もありますので、ご注意ご了承ください。
実績としては、本番は英作文・面接どちらもこのブログで公開している原稿から、使える部分を流用したような格好で解答を行いました。
得点もそれぞれ英作文が745/850で9割近い点数が獲れ, 面接は615/850と合格ギリギリの水準ですが、2分スピーチセクションであまりの緊張から10秒近く言葉が出てこなかった所から原稿の内容を駆使した決死の、華麗なる逆転劇があってのものですので、内容としてはまあ悪くない水準にあると思います。

Should same-sex marriage be legalized?

With increasing awareness of the equality of human rights, the legitimacy of same-sex marriage has become one of the most controversial issues around the world. Although some people argue that same-sex marriage will destroy social customs and stability, I strongly believe that legalizing same-sex marriage should be legalized for the following three reasons.
Firstly, the right to marriage should be equally guaranteed to all human beings. Equality and freedom of choice are significant factors of fundamental human rights. The Prohibition of same-sex marriage is purely an infringement of basic human rights.
Secondly, the inhibition of same-sex marriage is a breeding place of discrimination against minorities. The situation that minorities are not allowed to use social systems that majorities can use has been creating the unconscious notion of distinction, which leads to discriminations that originally should be eradicated in the world.
Finally, legalizing same-sex marriage has the potential to alleviate social problems related to aging societies. Homogeneous couples can technically give birth by using sperm donation or surrogacy. Same-sex marriage has the hopeful possibility of increasing the birthrate of the country.
In conclusion, for these three reasons, protecting human rights, rooting out discrimination, eradicating social discrimination, alleviating aging societies-related problems, I strongly believe that legalizing same-sex marriage should be legalized.
人権の平等性に対する意識が高まる中、同性婚の正当性は世界中で最も議論される問題の一つとなっています。同性婚は社会の習慣や安定性を破壊するという意見もありますが、私は以下の3つの理由から同性婚を合法化すべきだと強く信じています。
第一に、結婚する権利はすべての人間に平等に保障されるべきです。平等と選択の自由は、基本的人権の重要な要素です。同性婚の禁止は、純粋に基本的人権の侵害です。
第二に、同性婚の禁止は、マイノリティに対する差別の温床になります。マジョリティが利用できる社会システムをマイノリティが利用できないという状況は、無意識のうちに区別という概念を生み出しており、本来、世の中から根絶すべき差別につながっています。
最後に、同性婚を合法化することで、高齢化社会に伴う社会問題を軽減できる可能性があります。同性同士のカップルは、精子提供や代理出産を利用することで、技術的には出産が可能です。同性婚は、その国の出生率を高めるという希望的な可能性を秘めています。
結論として、人権の保護、差別の根絶、社会的差別の根絶、高齢化社会に関連する問題の緩和、これら3つの理由から、同性婚の合法化は合法化されるべきであると強く信じています。
