英検1級英作文：企業の社会的責任
2021年第1回の英検1級受験時に、英作文・面接対策として自分が書き溜めた原稿を公開しています。
Grammarlyに頼りつつ書いたもので、完全に独学で勉強していたため、不自然な表現や文法的に間違った英文が含まれている可能性もありますので、ご注意ご了承ください。
実績としては、本番は英作文・面接どちらもこのブログで公開している原稿から、使える部分を流用したような格好で解答を行いました。
得点もそれぞれ英作文が745/850で9割近い点数が獲れ, 面接は615/850と合格ギリギリの水準ですが、2分スピーチセクションであまりの緊張から10秒近く言葉が出てこなかった所から原稿の内容を駆使した決死の、華麗なる逆転劇があってのものですので、内容としてはまあ悪くない水準にあると思います。

Is Corporate Social Responsibility very important for society?

With rapid industrialization and economic growth, the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) has been often emphasized in modern societies. Although some companies underestimate the necessity of CSR and pursue their benefits, I think that CSR is very important for society.
Firstly, Ignoring CSR will bring a decline in the development of the company and eventually in the economy of the country. An obsession with the benefits of the companies will terribly deface the corporative image of the company in society, which will lead to being alienated by customers not only in domestic markets but also in global markets. In addition, a decline in the competitiveness of domestic companies will damage the economy of the country.
Secondly, products by companies that ignore CSR will damage human health. Some companies use cheap, low-quality, and toxic ingredients for their products without hesitation to lessen the manufacturing costs and gain their profits. The continuous use of harmful products will cause physical damages to the human body.
Finally, excessively pursuing benefits will hamper global environmental protection. Actually, even now, reckless industrialization has been damaging the global environment all over the world. Underestimating the CSR of companies will lead to further environmental destruction.
In conclusion, for the above-mentioned three reasons, influences to the economy, human health, and environmental damages, I think that CSR contributes greatly to creating good societies.
